ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING POSITIONS

Sultan Qaboos University, the National University of the Sultanate of Oman, invites applications for Spring and Fall 2004 from qualified teachers of English as a second language for the following posts:

• ASSISTANT LANGUAGE LECTURER
• SENIOR LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
• LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
  

Salary and grade will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: An MA in TEFL/TESL or a BA plus a postgraduate diploma

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Apart from an attractive tax-free basic salary, the University provides free, furnished accommodation, a two-year renewable contract with end-of-service gratuity, annual leave with return air tickets, an educational allowance for up to 2 children and free medical services in government hospitals in the Sultanate.

MAIN DUTIES:
To teach general ESL and/or Academic English to undergraduate students up to 20 hours a week and participate in course and materials development when necessary.
